What problem does it solve?
Align Hebrew source words with English ULT words to enable precise, machine-readable word-level mappings for downstream USFM alignment and linguistic analysis.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Two-step workflow: AI generates an index-based mapping; a script converts the mapping to a properly formatted USFM-aligned output.
- Input requirements: Hebrew USFM text, English ULT text, and optional verse range to focus alignment.
- Output: a JSON mapping containing reference, hebrew_words, english_text, and alignments suitable for conversion to aligned USFM.
- Use Case: for Genesis 1:1, generate a mapping that preserves English word order while aligning to Hebrew indices for verification and downstream processing.
